Chinese army invaded London – 07 Sep 07

2 Chinese army invaded London 07 Sep 07London was bracing itself for an invasion by China’s famous Terracotta Army. The 2,200-year-old clay statues are regarded as one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. They were buried alongside China’s first emperor, possibly to protect him in the afterlife. Around 20 of the lifesize figures will go on display at the British Museum next Thursday. Dalal Azar reports from the exhibition.  I missed visiting the display but would like to see it if I ever get the opportunity.

Not sure where u heard of Qin dialect still existing in China. I agree that yesterday's Qin citizens are not purely the same people as today's racial Chinese. Don't quote me on this. it was said that cantonese was a variation of, or derived from ancient old-chinese language. Ancient chinese had been revise constantly so nobody's knows for sure how it sounds like. All i know is, a mandarin person can understand cantonese if they listen very closely.
