You may not have this sort of gear if you don’t do a lot of outdoor shooting, but if you are just getting started you can improvise – even a white tea tray or a sheet of white cardboard can be used to good effect. Once you know the principles and get interested it isn’t difficult to use your imagination and natural resourcefulness!
